This improved formulation of Trusty ‘Premier’ Senior / Lite further enhances the benefits of the original product.

The need for a Senior / Lite diet often coincides with the advancing age of a dog. Alternatively a gentle, easily digested food can prove beneficial after veterinary intervention for any dog.

Recognising this change of nutritional need can be of huge help to your dog(s). Reducing the daily calorie and protein intake, together with careful rationing and exercise, should enable your dog(s) to lead a healthier life, without becoming obese.

Many dogs are overweight, not necessarily because of a change in their metabolism, but can be through overfeeding and/or insufficient exercise.

Older dogs changing metabolisms can lead to excess weight gain. This can have detrimental effects on the joints, heart, circulation and the dogs general health and well being.

For older dogs with dental problems, Senior / Lite will readily soak and soften, removing the dogs need to crunch the kibbles. However, if fed dry, crunching the kibbles can aid with tartar control, and dental health.

The increased fibre content will improve digestive transit, and regulate stool formation.
